Be your own advocate.
- Your treating physician, who may be a neurologist, will likely not have heard of this test — or even CTX. Therefore, you may need to encourage him or her to learn more about CTX and the genetic panel. Refer your doctor to AboutCTXHCP.com to get test information and order the test kit.
- Download the CTX educational brochure and share with your doctor.
- If the test comes back positive for CTX, you will likely be referred to a neurologist or a metabolic geneticist who specializes in CTX management.
